This paper mache mask was created as a tribute for my dear friend Giulia - a person whose spirits feels inseparable from nature, creative, and strength.

Inspired by her charisma, her movements, her voice, and the way she inhabits the world, the mask merges fox - and deer- like features to reflect both her agility and gentleness. A large, hand painted paper leaf grows from the chin. Two sculpted horns rise from the top and a single lightbulb rests at the center of the forehead - a glowing emblem of Giulia's vivid imagination and constant stream of ideas.

The mask is entirely handmade from paper and glue, painted with acrylics. To bring this mask to life, I invited Giulia herself to wear it for a photoshoot in the forest - a space that mirrors what she radiates. There , surrounded by trees and filtered light, the mask became more than an object - it became an extension of her presence.

This piece is a portrait, a story, and a thank you - a celebration of Giulia's essence.
